Administration & Finance Manager
The General Services Department is unique in the sense that it is a combination of multiple divisions including Information Technology, Building & Grounds, Fleet Management, Parks & Recreation and Administration/Purchasing.
The Ideal Candidate for this high–level position should have: experience in operations spanning one or more of the diverse areas noted above and with a strong background in accounting. A CPA is highly desirable. The position may serve in the absence of the General Services Director, so management experience and great customer service are must–haves. Experience with ERP system implementations and automating workflows is also highly desired. Procurement and contract management expertise as well as working knowledge of Internal Service Funds are also on the wish list.
Under administrative direction of the General Services Director, plans, organizes, and directs the administrative, fiscal and support operations; performs complex financial, budgetary, claims management, business management, audit, billing, and fiscal management functions supporting General Services' programs, including purchasing of supplies, materials and services, the provision of information technology support, fleet maintenance and management, and building and grounds maintenance; assists in policy and procedure development and implementation; and provides highly complex staff assistance to the General Services Director. Overtime, evening and weekend work will be required as needed for this position.
