An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Clinical Coding Team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. We have a vacancy for an Accredited Clinical Coding Auditor to lead the audit protocol at the trust. The Trust is looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills. You will need to be an Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) as well as holding Clinical Coding Auditor Status.

You will be expected to interact with clinicians and operational staff, be responsible for your own work load and meet increasingly demanding deadlines whilst maintaining accurate clinical coding at all times. You will also have the opportunity to mentor less experienced members of the clinical coding team. You will be able to work as part of a friendly and supportive team working towards team excellence. You will drive the audit process within the department.

Contracted hours are 37.5 hrs per week, Monday - Friday

If you are identified as the successful applicant and are currently not being paid by the Trust (new starter), depending on you level of exposure with patients you may be required to undertake a Standard or Enhanced DBS. The cost of this check will be charged to you and will be deducted from your salary over the first 3 months of employment at the current rate.
