Clinical Effectiveness & Audit Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for a suitably qualified professional to lead the Clinical Effectiveness and Audit agenda. The post will form part of the Governance Support Unit and will lead on the development of wider Corporate Clinical Effectiveness and Audit Strategy, to support and enable the provision of high quality, safe care to our patients.

You will be able to identify our learning so that we remain on a journey of continuous improvement for our patients and staff. You will provide leadership, support, expert advice and guidance to the divisions and will be responsible for recruitment, appraisal and performance management of the Clinical Effectiveness and Audit Team.

The remit covers the co-ordination of the National Audits and National Confidential Enquiries, delivery of the Trust Audit priorities, implementation of NICE, and support of the Trust Clinical Guidelines.

You will be expected to deliver on a range of projects and will have responsibility for supporting frontline teams in demonstrating high quality care and overseeing the CQC inspection and ongoing engagement processes with the Trust.

The post holder will also be required to develop, implement and sustain an effective training/educational programme for clinicians, managers and audit staff to ensure the continued development of the Clinical Audit and Effectiveness throughout the Trust
