About the role

We are looking for a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team. This role is a full-time permanent position based in our Milton, Brisbane Office (once we are able to all safely return to the office, currently working from home). It will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to develop, forecast and analyse strategic plans for our Education business in Australia. It will also provide exposure to the wider business activities across APAC and EMEA.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the strategic plans and forecasts
  • Prepare monthly reporting for local management including variance commentary
  • Provide all necessary financial and narrative information to support Quarterly Business Reporting (QBR)
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial analysis to relevant stakeholders
  • Partner with business & sales leadership to establish incentive targets & plans that are equitable, challenging and motivating
  • Review and measure performance against targets via regular reporting
  • Establish and maintain strong internal relationships as the local Business Partner for the Education Business in Australia
  • Collaborate with global Finance Team to continually look to improve reporting, systems and processes.

You will report to the Director, FP&A International Education who is based in the Brisbane Office.

About you
  • Degree qualification in Finance & CPA or CA qualification (MBA qualification is desirable)
  • 8 + years prior experience in a Finance role (Multinational Organisation exposure is desirable)
  • Accounting & Financial Reporting Systems, (SAP, Cognos & Power BI experience is desirable)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work independently and meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks to meet the needs of key stakeholders
  • Exceptional Communication skills and a highly collaborative approach
  • Willingness to travel to other Wiley locations (when travel is resumed).
