Mine Accountant

Your new company
This international mining house operate several coal mines across Queensland. They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated accountant to join their small site based team on a short-term basis.

Your new role
Your position will report to the Commercial Manager and provide support in areas such as;

• End of month
• Management reports
• Analysing and interpreting financials
• Assisting with budgets/forecasting
• Capital control and review

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this position you will ideally be a degree qualified accountant and demonstrate the following;

• Experience in a commercial accounting position, preferably within resources
• Experience with the use of an ERP system
• Ability to run management reports and analyse financial data
• Strong understanding of EOM procedures

What you'll get in return
This position will offer you approximately 6 months of work on a Monday - Friday roster with camp accommodation.

On site accommodation is provided however if you would like to reside in the area for the duration of the contract more permanent accommodation can be arranged.

It is preferred that you are able to drive in and out for the position however flights may be negotiated for the right candidate.
