Your new company
This newly created Federal Government portfolio agency plays a key role in dealing with natural disasters and prevention.

Your new role
We are seeking a highly skilled Auditors (performance audit) and or Assurance/Compliance officers.

Duties and tasks involved in this role are inclusive of, but not limited to the following;

  • Undertake internal audits and complete written audit reports as required by the Audit Committee, and Senior Executive;
  • Engage and oversee consultants engaged by the Department to undertake audits; Support the development and approval of an annual audit program and the completion of that program in a timely manner;
  • Ensure that the internal audit function is administered in accordance with contemporary methodologies and according to relevant professional standards;
  • Maintain accurate records of audit assignments, findings, recommendations and the implementation of recommendations;
  • Support and participate in Audit Committee meetings and any other agency forums and processes (as needed);
  • Establish productive working relationships with staff at all levels of seniority, including the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO);
  • Undertake ad hoc audits, appraisals, reviews and investigations approved by the Executive; and Identify process improvement opportunities and utilise better practice processes.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you must have a high level of technical ability in relation to internal Audit, you must also possess strong oral and written skills. You must also have strong skills in relation to the skills as listed above.

This role is only open to Australian Citizens and you must have a clear understanding of APS standards, conditions, expectation and requirements. You must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline clearance.
