Amazon Shipping offers Amazon's logistic capabilities as a product and service. Amazon Shipping's first customers are sellers in the UK, offering to ship their domestic volume using our delivery network.

Amazon Shipping is looking to hire a Business Analyst. In this new role you will support the SWA Operations team by working with key data points, diving deep, spotting and analysing trends, building business need for change and target areas to deliver the key goals within Amazon Shipping as well as directly supporting the operations team across sort centres and AMZL.

You will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable working with data and challenging the status quo to continuously improve our business. This role will require you to work closely with the Shipping team, understanding existing challenges with data, working out how to improve, what data points can be developed and presented differently, sharing knowledge on new and existing processes, actively tracking trends and highlighting opportunities to improve and reduce defects including DEA% Shipper defects, pick up failure, Cost per shipment and seller returns. You will have strong analytical skills, and be an effective communicator, but most importantly you'll be passionate about putting our customers first.

You will also be contributing to the development of our operational product to deliver a world class customer experience to enable the delivery of our strategic targets (service, growth, cost).

You will have a true hands-on approach, operational inclination, strong data skills and the ability to build and leverage relationships As this position involves regular interaction with multiple clients, you need to be comfortable communicating robustly at different level whilst also working directly with various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organisation across the Amazon business.

Dive deep - understand operations, and how we can improve our service to the shippers and better match their needs, armed with this understanding we will be more able to invent new products & services and simplify the shipper experience.
Deliver Results - targets for all operational metrics

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• A completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or Amazon experience
• Experience with performance metrics and process improvement (how, when, who)
• Experience of working within logistics, transportation or parcels environment.
• Ability to work independently and report to a remote manager Display solid judgement on when to escalate problems, especially when dealing with ambiguity
• Willing to engage in productive conflict resolution with key partners
• Excellent analytical skills
• Candidates must be flexible to work remotely.
• Customer focus and professional demeanour.
• Organisational skill and an operations mindset.
• An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment.
• A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proficient with Microsoft office, particularly Excel
• Strong understanding of SQL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in supply chain, manufacturing, transportation and/or distribution environments.
• Experience of change management/growth environments.

• Expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

- Knowledge of Python, Tableau/Alchemy
