We are working with our client to secure the services of an Accountant for a contract in Leeds

Fixed Asset Accountant, working as part of a small team responsible for the management of all Capital Assets

Key tasks and deliverables:

Be responsible for the Reconciliations of all fixed asset balances between the General Ledger and the finance Fixed Asset Register Managing the creation of in year additions in the register for all asset categories. Liaise with Finance Business Partners, Estates Management Team, and the IT procurement Team to ensure financial information held is accurate and supports the assets created. Collate and post monthly adjustment journals for Purchase Orders and invoice miscoding relating to all capital codes, ensuring the double entry is accurate Tracking status changes of hardware and software assets held within the IT Management Database and process these changes within the finance asset register, e.g. maintenance replacements, decommissioned and disposals. Ad-hoc generic fixed asset tasks as and when required, e.g. collating information for the end of year accounts audit or carrying physical audits for furniture and IT Hardware Excellent knowledge of Fixed Asset Financial Reporting Standards Proven track record of complex reconciliations across multiple sources and systems Proven track record of ensuring that accounts information is promptly and accurately recorded Significant knowledge of relevant capital accounting standards and principles Experience of using Real Asset Manager 4000 softwareThis is a contract position
