The Payroll Co-ordinator follows established Policies and Procedures to ensure that employee compensation, benefits and deductions are accurate. This position ensures that payroll related Statutory Reports and Payroll Tax Returns are accurate and timely filed.
Main responsibilities include:
1. Prepare monthly and weekly payrolls
2. Posting of payroll journals
3. Ensure all payrolls are completed and submitted for approval on time
4. Ensure statutory payments are made on time
5. Ensure that annual returns are filed with the statutory institutions on specified date
6. Ensure that all reconciliations related to statutory deductions, pension payable and employees' payables and receivables are done as required.
7. Liaise and cooperate with internal and external auditors for the provision of data required for internal auditing of the payroll function
8. Prepare daily, weekly, yearly and adhoc reports as requested
9. Provide administrative support to the HR function
Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Other:
1. First Degree in Accounting
2. Three (3) years experience in a similar position
1. Computer competence with Excel, Word, Power Point
2. Must have a proven track record of reliability and strict confidentiality
3. Must be customer service oriented with excellent communicative/ interactive skills
4. Must have Solid organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
5. Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks.
6. Must have the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, duties, responsibilities, and the management of time while meeting deadlines.
