Your new company
At the moment I`m recruiting a Financial Reporting Accountant for a dynamic Retailer specialised in eCommerce. The business is growing rapidly and has successfully completed multiple acquisitions. Over the same time the company has doubled to +£20milj pa and the employee base has increased 3 times across the 3 core locations within the UK. Because of the growth the company is looking for someone new who can join the finance team.

Your new role
Assist with the preparation of the year end annual reports and review of UK entity accounts

• Assist with the preparation of IFRS technical accounting papers in preparation for the interim and year end audits
• Assist with setting up the statutory consolidation structure working closely with the Group Reporting Team
• Supporting the Group Reporting Manager with the year end audit in providing information requested by the external auditors
• Proactive resolution of accounting queries from Shared Service Centres and local finance teams
• Assist with implementing financial controls and process improvements across the wider Group
• Support other finance functions with day to day activities, looking for process improvements and finding more efficient ways to work
• Ad hoc project work to support business needs

What you'll need to succeed
For this role I`m looking for someone who is:

• ACA or ACCA Fully Qualified
• Practice trained or industry trained - Ideally with exposure to Retail/ eCommerce clients
• Good knowledge of technical accounting
• Positive and forward-thinking attitude
• Working knowledge of VAT and corporation Tax
• The ideal candidate will come from a medium to large company background
