Shape our future as Assistant Financial Controller GSS The purpose of this role is to ensure effective financial and management accounting across the organisation by managing the development of financial controls and systems within the Divisional Finance department. The Assistant Financial Controller is responsible for the preparation, development and analysis of management accounting and other financial reporting information and controls.

What you'll be doing Report timely and accurate financial information, ensuring all Group requirements for Divisional reporting are met within deadlines
Assist in the creation of monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
Liaise with Group and issue group guidelines for Medium Term Plans
Perform Balance Sheet Review & Commentary
Perform Run rate analysis & create appropriate reporting
Manage working capital and ensure we understand and challenge results, and prepare appropriate commentary
Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
Collaborate with auditors, group and internal, to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
Support with development of budgets and financial plans for the Division
Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
Assist in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members
Review and approve profit centre reports and identify any variances
Review divisional cost centre reports and identify any variances
Responsible for the provision of high-quality support and advice services to budget holders, managers, and other staff
Proactively challenge and assess existing processes, and ensure standardization across business units
Collaborate with Group systems and Automation teams to ensure data manipulation tasks are performed as efficiently as possible
Ensure existing automated processes are performance managed and up to date
Support the development & implementation of an appropriate control framework/environment for the Division
Any other ad-hoc tasks as required
What we're looking for Essential Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
Proven experience in a senior Finance line role with responsibility for delivery of controllership activities.
Demonstrated experience in improving financial processes, financial reporting and control.
Demonstrated ability to synthesise varied viewpoints to identify an optimal solution and develop a coherent plan.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and drive execution at all levels of the organization.
Proven analytical and influencing skills.
Action-oriented: ability to turn strategic visions into executable tactics effectively and do what is needed to deliver results.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated with high levels of energy and drive - especially in the face of resistance or setbacks. Strong cross-cultural work experience and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Experience of working for/ with a contracts and projects based organisation
Experience of working in/managing a matrix reporting structure
