The Surrey based Financial Accounting Manager role mentors a team of accountants and is responsible for EMEA wide reporting under US GAAP.
The role has a broad Financial Accounting and Reporting remit and will play a key role in project work.

Description
The Financial Accounting Manager position reports to the Financial Controller and is responsible for managing financial accounting and reporting activities across the EMEA region
Duties include:
Oversee Daily Activities and Close Process:
*Evaluate current accounting policies and procedures and work with the finance team to determine if they are still appropriate. Suggest and implement changes as appropriate to improve accuracy and efficiency. Create and/or update related process flow documents.
*Support the monthly, quarterly and annual EMEA financial close process, including overseeing the assigned EMEA subsidiaries reporting and compliance. Maintain the close calendar for your team; assign close responsibilities and related deadlines based on department deadlines.
*Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations and perform the final review and analysis for the EMEA trial balance, balance sheet and income statement to ensure that all material activity has been captured and recorded accurately and on time.
*Support the annual statutory accounts preparation and assist with the statutory audit for the designated EMEA entities.
*Work with external professional service providers.
*Assist the tax teams as required and involvement with projects
*Prepare and/or review quarter-end and year-end audit schedules prepared by staff for internal SOX team and external auditors.
*Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine transactions.
Profile
To be considered you will be a fully qualified accountant with EMEA wide exposure and experience of reporting under US GAAP.
