Job Description
There is currently a critical need for a Full Charge Bookkeeper with our client to conduct audit, manage clerical staff, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, and financial statement preparation. A full-time Full Charge Bookkeeper has become available with a client working with Robert Half Finance and Accounting to find an experienced candidate to join their team in the Mansfield, Massachusetts area. How you will make an impact
- Categorize sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
- Make all cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
- Provide monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
- Accounts Receivable
- Set up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
- Look after Accounts Payable
- Credit Card management and reconciliation
- Clarify business license and gross receipts
- Work on special projects occasionally
- Prepare cash flow projections, as needed
- Manage monthly accounting close
- Record budget transfers
Requirements
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- General familiarity with Posting Journal Entries
- Demonstrated knowledge of account reconciliation
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
- Experience with expense reports
- Foundational knowledge in Check Runs
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Great Plains Accounting
- Command of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Adeptness in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
- Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starter and strong ethical standards
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
