Job Description
Jamie (Petrusich) Benway with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting an Accounting Manager for a public company on the West side. To succeed in this role, you will need to lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. You might be a good fit for this position if you have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations.
Your responsibilities in this role
- Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
- Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
- Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
- Possess a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Collaborate with FP&A and accounting management to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
- Organize a variety of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies
- Lead and supervise the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met

Requirements
-Public accounting experience (preferably Big 4) is required
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
