Job Description
The Supervisor will be responsible for all corporate accounting support and analysis for internal manufacturing, vendors, and other internal processes. This includes product cost analysis, process analysis, account analysis and other financial reporting analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Supervisor, Cost Accounting will support the financial accounting activities and month-end financial close for manufacturing operations and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP, Sarbanes, and International Accounting Standards) and company policy and procedures. This role will support worldwide internal manufacturing, financial reporting, analysis and cost updates (includes finished goods and components). In addition, s/he will oversee daily financial process for finished goods sub-contractors.
The Supervisor, Cost Accounting will lead special projects impacting financial results and drive new initiative to streamline processes that will help achieve the overall company initiatives. Supervisor will build effective working relationships with the operation organizations (i.e. merchandising, manufacturing, distributions) that are supported by the accounting group and provide financial reporting and analysis that will contribute to the decision making process. Additionally, this position will develop department staff including technical and managerial skills development, PMP development and follow up, coaching, training, morale and teambuilding, and relationship development with business partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
MBA strongly preferred
5 to 8 years of Cost Accounting experience.
Inventory reconciliation experience is required.
