Job Description

Robert Half Finance is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a desire to join a reputable company in the Financial Services industry. This role handles financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. The challenging, fast-paced work environment requires top-notch analytical skills. Located in Dallas, Texas, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Financial Services field. Responsibilities

- Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

- Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

- Provide monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

- When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests

- Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

Requirements

- Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

- Excellent attention to detail

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

- Analysis experience

- SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

- Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

- Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

- Strong time management skills preferred

- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

- Proficient in ERP systems

- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
