Amazon is seeking a Business Analyst in the Competitive Pricing team. The Competitive Pricing team defines Amazon's competitive pricing & promotions strategy and onsite price experience to improve price and overall value perception among customers.
We are looking for a self-starter with analytics experience who can work with cross functional stakeholders such as Category Management, Product & Program, Finance and Customer Support teams on new and existing competitive pricing programs.
As a Business Analyst in this team, you will play a key role in the development of key business metrics and reports and for driving initiatives that improve the overall price & value competitiveness for Amazon
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and large datasets. They will have strong attention to detail, SQL skills, experience with statistical analysis tools, and the ability to clearly communicate and present data insights. They will also have a demonstrated history of written and verbal communications and strong customer empathy. They will be comfortable collaborating within a global team with high executive visibility. The ideal candidate will have fluency in communicating with executive stakeholders and providing insights out of data.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role, and working with large data sets and writing complex SQL queries
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into analyses and actionable insights
• Experience collaborating with business, technical and engineering teams.
• Has problem solving skills and attention to details
• Proficient in MS Excel and other MS office tools
• Has the ability to deliver results by influencing team members
