Sr Specialist - Payroll Ops, Risk and Audit

Amazon is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join the fast paced world of Payroll operations. We are seeking Risk Identification Specialist who will join our payroll operations team based out of India. The successful candidate is able to apply broad technical knowledge and sound business judgment to execute audits and advisory projects across our diverse teams by uncovering and exploiting any risks/vulnerabilities present in the operations.

This role has a broad scope, which includes data analytics, risk assessment, SOP review, penetration testing, and application exploitation. In addition, you are expected to test novel abuse scenarios. You must be able to understand complex business processes and technology to identify the full range of risks that could be exploited. Additionally, this position will partner with our Controllership and Operation excellence team to collaborate on:
• development, management and enhancement of monitoring tools
• planning and execution of team events targeted to identify risk
• certifying a new process, process change or JDI risk free
• ensuring the highest standard of risk and fraud detection and prevention is in place for all payroll countries managed out of India.
• interacting with process owners on instances of suspected risk and assisting in creating a a mitigation plan
• preparing key metrics to track performance and benefit to the business.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in payroll management
• Certification in Payroll processing, PMP or Six Sigma
• Flexibility: Ability to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and data-driven organization.
• Entrepreneurial; someone who wants to build out the new teams.
