Amazon is seeking a Business Analyst for handling the analytics for Amazon Fresh Supply Chain. The person would be required to handle both FC and Last Mile analytics.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
1> Influence business decisions with data.
2> Use data resources to accomplished assigned analytical tasks relating to critical business metrics.
3> Monitor key metrics in already live regions, escalating anomalous findings as needed.
4> Provide input on suggested business actions based on analytical findings.
The successful candidate has demonstrated:
1> A passion for numbers, data and challenges.
2> High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
3> Superior verbal and written communications skills.
4> An ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired and ambiguity is the norm.
5> A composed, poised and professional demeanor with a bias for action and ownership.
6> A history of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
7> Proven analytical and quantitative skills (includes the ability to effectively use tools such as SQL, Python) and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and justify business decisions.
8> Comfortable working from general guidelines, using best judgment to make sound business decisions.
9> Should have experience in working on Data Management software such as Tableau.
Basic Qualifications:
• 2 - 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst dealing with large complex data scenarios.
•
• A bachelor's degree from a well-regarded institution in an analytical or business field, or comparable business experience.
•
• Intermediate proficiency with writing SQL/Python queries, e.g. joining multiple tables, and using aggregate and analytical functions.
•
• Expert in data extraction experience using SQL. We expect robust basic foundational skills in SQL extraction.
•
• Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Graduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or another quantitative field preferred. Undergraduate degree or experience in computer science or another technical field is highly desired.
•
• Experience working effectively with software engineering teams.
•
• Experience communicating with senior management (VP level decision makers) as well as with colleagues from computer science, operations research, and business backgrounds.
•
• A Strong individual contributor who can work with minimal direction and oversight.
