An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Accounts Assistant at a well-established Accountancy Practice based in Stanley, County Durham. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in Accountancy and work within a successful company, who will support and train them throughout their apprenticeship.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, ambitious and have a drive to succeed.
The role will be very varied and will include:
Applicants should have good IT skills and be able to use a range of Microsoft packages including Excel and Word.

Qualifications Required:
Grades A-C / 4-9 at GCSE to include English andmaths, or equivalent.
Future prospects
Contract as long as the apprenticeship with a view of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

- Purchase Ledger duties, including matching delivery notes to invoices
- Date entry
- Use of accountancy software to include: Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Quickfile and Qtac
- Bank reconciliations
- Use of Microsoft packages to include Excel and Word
- Administrative duties
- Dealing with correspondence, including sending and responding to emails
- Month End Statements
- Bank reconciliations
