Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to deliver best in class technical accounting advice to the Finance team and wider business as well as timely and accurate Group reporting. #LI-MS Key ResponsibilitiesKey accountabilities and decision ownership: • Timely production of high quality monthly balance sheet, cashflow reporting and associated KPIs including insightful and forward looking analysis • Management of the external audit requirements and relationship with the external group auditor team ensuring strong working relationships and delivery of efficiencies • Preparation and analysis of the financial statements and related notes for external reporting at the interim and year end including the Annual Report & Accounts • Ensure the Group stays technically compliant with proactive review of standards and effective implementation global policies • At as a representative of the group finance function collaborating with Tax, Treasury and FP&A to ensure the accounting policies, systems and financial data are of the highest possible standards and integrity • Deliver the balance sheet review process, working closely alongside regional controllers to ensure issues are identified and resolved promptly and efficiently. • Development of talent within the accounting and reporting team and identification of opportunities for progression and growth. • Ownership and delivery of special projects within the Financial Accounting, Reporting and Control space. • Support the ongoing appropriateness of revenue recognition across the Group in line with current regulation and accounting standards and best practice within the software industry • Support the Director Financial Accounting reporting and Control to oversee the key accounting judgments (and acting as subject matter expert) and assessments for the group at half year and year end with associated reporting to Audit Committee • Take lead role in Group reporting controls and processes - ensuring best in class, risk targeted approach.

Skills, know-how and experience: Must have: • At least 3 years PQE and strong technical accounting and controllership knowledge • Experience of statutory audit process including controls and financial reporting requirements within a global environment. • The ability to work under tight deadlines, managing multiple stakeholders (both internal and external) whilst retaining attention to detail

Preferred: • External listed reporting experience • Prior experience of working in a professional services firm environment (e.g. Big Four). • Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures including related controls • Software industry experience Technical / professional qualifications: • Chartered accountant (e.g. ACA / ACCA) FunctionFinance CountryUnited Kingdom Office LocationNewcastle
