As the Director/Partner, your business focus will be on providing assurance services to the portfolio companies for private equity firms in manufacturing and distribution and other commercial entities. This expanding niche requires your ability to demonstrate in-depth technical expertise with regard to assurance matters combined with a strong passion for relationship development while providing unmatched client service. Depending on experience the role could be a Director or Partner.

What You Will Do:
  • Review detailed audit engagement procedures for companies owned by private equity companies
  • Adequately identify audit risks and problems through review to ensure audit engagements are completed with defendable files and documentation
  • Consistently identify engagement and operating opportunities for improvement and provide timely solutions and consultation
  • Manage multiple concurrent engagements without disruption and within scheduled deadlines
  • Provide staff with timely performance feedback
  • Assist in managing, developing and coaching professional staff
  • Manage multiple client relationships, billings, and resource needs working with private equity clients of various types and sizes
  • Build personal referral sources and clientele while actively participating in team marketing opportunities
  • Lead audit committee meetings presentations
  • Participate in speaking and article writing opportunities
  • Complete required Continued Professional Education hours
  • Travel to serve clients as necessary


A Successful Trusted Advisor Has:
  • Experience managing multiple, more complex client engagements
  • Executive-level analytical and reasoning skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Ability to travel to serve clients
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and experience levels both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain professional client relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Innovative ideas in regard to servicing clientele

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • At least 9 years of relevant audit experience (Director) or 11 years (Partner)
  • CPA license
  • Knowledge and experience with private equity companies required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Corporate and/or individual income tax knowledge helpful
  • Master's degree in accounting or related field
