UW Medicine Finance has an outstanding opportunity for a Health System Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, UW Medicine. This individual will direct and organize the strategic planning, budgeting, costing and financial analytic/decision support activities for UW Medicine, a nearly $4.8B a year clinical enterprise. The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will direct an experienced professional staff team composed of directors, managers, analysts, and technical resources with a span of accountabilities that encompass long-range financial planning, development / deployment of the annual operating and capital budgets, budget-to-actual management reporting, development of and measurement against multi-year annual and monthly key financial and operating metrics, industry benchmarking, regulatory agency reporting, decision support, cost accounting, and provider compensation. This position reports directly to the Enterprise Finance Officer, UW Medicine and Associate Vice President for Medical Affairs, University of Washington.

REQUIREMENTS:
At least ten (10) years as a senior financial management professional in a large hospital or health system. Academic Medical Center experience is desired.
Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or related degree.
In-depth knowledge of hospital accounting and reimbursement; current in new regulations and trends.
CPA preferred.
Strong skill level in using Budgeting and General Ledger applications as well as supporting software programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business AND additional progressively increasing finance team leadership experience may substitute for stated Master's degree requirement.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
