RESPONSIBILITIES
Our client, established in 2011 from the spin out of an American bank, is one of the Asia's leading private equity fund managers is seeking a Finance Manager to manage the full spectrum of Finance and Management functions for Singapore entities. Currently, it has offices in Hong Kong, Beijing and Mumbai, and Singapore is expected to open by first half of 2020.
Most of the professionals have previously worked at large financial institutions. In 2018, our client entered into a strategic partnership with one of the largest private equity firms globally (in US).
Reports to Finance Director and COO who are based in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Finance Manager include:
Financial and management reporting functions:
Singapore management entity:
- Full spectrum of financial and management reporting in compliance with Singapore FRS and IFRS
- Implement and set-up new accounting system and ensure it is compatible with the group reporting requirements
- Manage all accounting entries, payments and reimbursement for expenses claims in timely manner
- Responsible for calculation of payroll, submission of CPF and IR8A
- In charge of annual budget and ensure it complies with local accounting standards and in-line with group policies
- Work with professional advisors on regulatory license applications and provide the necessary support as and when required
- Held responsible for maintenance, compliance and reporting of regulatory capital returns in compliance with MAS requirements
- Accountable for submission of GST returns, withholding tax and income tax returns to IRAS
- Collaborate with local auditor on annual audit and preparation of audited financial statements
Corporate master fund and SPVs:
- Maintain proper accounting record and review financial pack prepared by fund administrator for master fund and its SPVs
- Responsible for the calculation of management fee and related fund transfer to Singapore management entity and other management entities of the group
- Handle section 13X tax exemption application with professional advisors and submit annual declarations to MAS
- Liaise with group auditor on conversion of Singapore FRS to USGAAP of corporate master fund accounts whenever necessary
- Keep abreast of key changes in accounting and taxation regulations and provide support in rolling out of group initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- Member of a professional accounting body (ACCA, CIMA, CA)
- Strong knowledge in Singapore FRS and IFRS
- 8-10 years of audit and accounting
- Fund accounting experience is preferred
- Hands-on experience in newly setup management company
- Able to converse well with Chinese associates (plus if can converse in Cantonese)
- Independent, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
- Meticulous, organised, analytical and detail oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
