We are in the market for a new Director to head up our Government Finance and Accounting branch. In this role you will have a focus on further developing financial management policy and practices throughout the Tasmanian public sector; maintaining the financial records of the Public Account; and managing the State's financial assets and borrowing activities. The position has a high level of interaction with a wide range of stakeholders and provides strategic advice both internally and externally.
You will have a background in effectively leading, managing and motivating a professional team with a track record of providing authoritative advice on financial management at the executive level. You will have demonstrated capability to evaluate complex information, drive operational improvements and deliver a high level of client services.

This is a Senior Executive position for a period of up to five years with an annual salary range of between $155 414 to $170 955 pro rata per annum, plus 9.5% superannuation and provision of a fully maintained motor vehicle.

Highly Desirable Requirements
Completion of relevant tertiary or industry qualifications, and/or professional affiliation.
