Victoria Police is currently establishing a team to support an extensive program of work focussed on organisational financial sustainability and efficiencies. As part of the Investment and Reporting Department, the Financial Sustainability Program team will consist of several work streams including program management, financial modelling, data analytics and reporting, and change management.

The Senior Financial Analyst (Financial Modelling) will report to the Manager, Financial Modelling, and be responsible for the development and testing of financial models that will assist strategic decision-making across Victoria Police.

As the successful applicant you will have excellent stakeholder management skills, experience working in a dynamic team environment, financial literacy and conceptual skills.

Your duties will include:
  • Developing financial models for a range of scenarios
  • Developing processes that articulate cost impacts and savings opportunities
  • Ensuring financial modelling remains current and considers business changes
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Actively participating in risk and issues management
  • Undertaking other tasks as required

As the successful applicant, you will have:
  • A demonstrated understanding of complex financial models
  • Ability to articulate financial assumptions and test a range of scenarios
  • Conceptual skills
  • Sound communication skills
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • A relevant qualification and/or accreditation

Requirements and relevant information:
  • Position located at the Victoria Police Centre. 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
