SR. Financial Analyst Needed!
Kelly Services is immediately hiring for a Sr. Financial Analyst for one of our customers in Menlo Park. As a financial analyst you will be joining one of the top Biotech companies in the area.For this role, you should hold a degree in Finance or Accounting (ideally with a CFA certification) followed by relevant work experience. Knowledge of forecasting models and cost accounting processes are key requirements for this position. You will explore investment options and set company–wide financial policies.Ultimately, you will ensure our financial planning is healthy and profitable and aligns with business objectives.Responsibilities:+ Seek process improvements and participate in ad–hoc projects, as needed.+ Drive financial forecasts and budgets. Provide timely reports / review of financial forecasts. Provide variance reports–actual to budget–with explanations and actions to be taken. Provide timely rolling cash forecasts (at least weekly) and report to management+ Develop, drive and monitor key business performance metrics. Analyze operating results and key performance indicators including identifying key business drivers / trends/ ratios compared to peer companies impacting the operating performance.+ Prepare financial data summary and analysis for monthly closing reviews with the leadership team+ Participate in the upcoming system implementation and other automation projects.+ Act as a key financial adviser to the business leadership team on strategic issues, advise risks and opportunities and ensure necessary actions are taken+ Drive financial analyses for company including new projects/ventures and support new product launches including pricing strategy and profitability. Provide ROI for key projects.+ Support financings+ Provide key support and analyses for departments across the company. Develop strong knowledge of these areas and relationships.+ Drive risk management for company including insurance programs+ Assist Global Controller with audit needs including valuations and risk matters+ Assist with A/R+ Drive continuous improvement to streamline processes and improve flow of information to the leadership team.+ Perform other related duties as required or assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance+ 5+ years of total corporate finance (experience in biotech or pharma industry preferred)+ Strong demonstrated experience in budgeting and forecasting, FP, and modeling+ Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS+ Demonstrated strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to quickly synthesize information from multiple sources+ Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in the details but also assess "the bigger picture" and provide key takeaways and conclusions+ Experience in developing all three financial statements forecast+ Experience working in a global company/environment is a plus+ Experience working in a public company, a plus+ Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills+ Experience with Netsuite and MS Power Point+ Strong Excel modeler with advanced Excel skills, including Macro and Power Query**Why Kelly** **??** **?**As a worker today, it's up to you to take charge of your career and look for opportunities to learn, grow, and achieve your potential.
