Senior Financial Accountant - excellent progression

Sewell Wallis are delighted to be partnering with a large corporate business based in south Leeds. Due to a recent promotion within the finance team, they are now looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the company. This is a pivotal role within the finance function where you will gain excellent exposure to the wider business. Whilst our client is looking for a technically strong accountant, they also require someone with strong commercial acumen who can confidently business partner with non-finance individuals. This business are particularly well known for the exceptional career opportunities they can offer their employees. Therefore it would be a great role for a first time mover who is looking to quickly establish their long term career within industry and a business where you can easily move around to experience all areas of finance. Reporting to the Finance Manager your role will include the following:- -Managing two direct reports, holding regular one to ones to improve overall performance and identify areas for development -Liaising with internal and external audit and tax teams -Working closely with the FP&A and Commercial teams within the business to understand P&L drivers and overall business performance -Balance sheets and P&L reviews including variance analysis -Preparation of accounting information and the UK statutory accounts -Tax returns -Balance sheet reconciliations and preparations of complex journals -Liaising confidently with senior stakeholders to ensure efficient reporting -Business partnering effectively across the entire company
