Our client, a distribution business for technology businesses have grown exponentially in the past couple of years and are therefore looking to employ a CFO who will report directly to the CEO as well as to the CFO of the group.
The role will include creating and implementing new reporting systems, financial reporting structures and processes, management reporting, tax and corporate governance, strategic decision making and implementing structures to ensure the financial success of the business.
The CFO must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting and management reporting to broad investment and banking operations.
Responsibilities:
Collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial Information
Overseeing the monthly management accounting and all financial analysis
Driving the company's cash flow
Implementing planning and controls
Creating robust treasury and commission payment processes
Performing risk management by analysing the organisation's revenue and costs
Deciding on growth strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
Providing leadership, direction and management of the financial accounting team
Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team
Managing the processes for financial forecasting, budgets and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
Advising on long-term business and financial planning
Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
Reviewing all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
CA(SA) with a strong academic background
Proven experience as an FM or CFO
Experience with Sage and SQL knowledge an advantage
Extraordinary intelligence and problem-solving abilities
Strong financial and operational abilities
Organised, hard-working and both academically and emotionally smart
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
Ability to strategize and solve problems
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication and people skills
An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
