My client, operating in the health care sector is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance function. Great opportunity for the ideal candidate who will need to be resilient, flexible and willing to identify improvements and implement change.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting group accounting and finance business partners with the preparation of monthly management accounts within specified deadlines.
- Review of preparation of accounts to trial balance stage - including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, intercompany transactions.
- Responsibility for quality of back up schedules and balance sheet controls.
- Review and analysis of management accounts for trend analysis, budget versus actuals and prior year.
- Involved in process improvement and designing new processes to improve the effectiveness of the finance function in a growing organisation.
- Ensuring compliance with internal control processes.
- Preparing detailed information & financial statement for the annual audit and answering audit queries
Requirements:
- 4+ years accounts experience
- Qualified ACA with 1-2 PQE or moving from Big 4 practice to industry for first time
- Newly qualified or part qualified ACA/ ACCA / CIMA
- Big 4 background an advantage
- Accounts Package - Microsoft NAV desirable
- Strong skills in Excel.
