Assistant Production Accountant

Sesame Workshop is looking for an Assistant Production Accountantto support children's television shows

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Maintaining the workflow of the Accounting Department
Auditing and Coding incoming invoices, check requests, and p-card envelopes
Obtaining the proper backup for payment such as approval, additional receipts, W-9s, and ACH payment details
Establishing or updating vendor accounts for multiple project seasons in various stages of production and working with vendors to properly invoice to each legal entity.
Periodically audit the general ledger's New York State Film tax Credit Program coding and update or revise as needed to maintain an up to date record of the production's incentive standing
Work with the Production Accountant to maintain the digital filing system in accordance with industry accepted standards for auditability and that will serve as the total repository of all work done during the remote-work phase.
Provide on-site studio and office financial support when needed
Prepare EFT and Wire Transfers for supervisor release
Provides ad-hoc financial analyses
Participate in Tax Credit Application preparation and audit

Consults with:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
At least 4 years of work in TV Production Accounting
Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word,
Movie Magic Budgeting a must
PSL accounting experience a must
Cast and Crew Payroll experience preferred
Experience with New York State Tax Credits preferred
Experience with Cashet, JPMorgan Access, Concur Invoice Processing, NetSuite, JournyX Time Reporting, and other Production Accounting programs a plus
