Job Description

As a Business Analyst for the Central Procurement Office, the candidate will be a change agent in identifying and communicating data-driven insights in making informed decisions through data analytics. You will work closely with Procurement leadership team, Business Partners and stakeholders in fostering an effective working relationship to support recurring and ad hoc reporting and analysis. You will have the opportunity to develop and expand your Procurement analysis skills and help drive changes in the Procurement process improvement journey as part of NUS Organizational Excellence initiative.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Gather, prepare, process and analyse spend and transaction data to gain insights and drive procurement strategy and initiatives
  • Undertake analysis to identify key categories and support the development of specific category strategies
  • Prepare and consolidate data analysis presentations for internal business reviews, supplier negotiation, market benchmarking and industry trends.
  • Performs economic research and prepares analyses to identify supplier opportunities and risks
  • Develop dashboards and templates for reporting SLA/ KPI and drive performance improvement
  • Contribute to and participate in compliance reviews and work with procurement leadership to ensure compliance with policies and standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need strong analytical skills, stakeholder management and end-to-end knowledge of procurement processes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have Bachelor Degree in Business, Business Administration/ Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or related field of study qualified with:
  • >3 years of experience in data analytics and visualisation
  • Having strong project management skills and ability to drive change management and continuous improvements.
  • Possess strong communication and stakeholders management.
  • Experience in Excel modelling (lookup and pivot table) and preferably with programming and SQL knowledge
  • Proficient with data visualisation software such as Tableau, Qlik or Power BI
  • Familiar with SAP and ERP systems relating to procurement, contract management and vendor management would be advantageous
  • Team player with cross-cultural skills.
