The Business Analyst (BA) for Personal Insurance is responsible for ensuring stakeholder happiness by understanding the needs of the business and ensuring these requirements are accurately reflected and communicated in user stories and delivery results. Your scope of change is within our Guidewire applications for our direct business model, until we onboard broker business.

You will use your knowledge and expertise to work closely with the Product Owner and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are designed that meet the business priorities, ultimately providing optimal benefits to Aviva and our distribution partners.

Accountabilities
  • You are capable of documenting business requirements succinctly, clearly and accurately, for both business people and technical workers.
  • You will be responsible to test system solutions to ensure that the end-to-end journey for the customer and business users is sound and efficient.
  • You are also accountable to collaborate with our Quality Assurance team to craft sufficiently robust test scenarios.
  • You understand why we are undertaking every change and feel open and free to challenge when you believe we are doing the wrong work.
  • You are responsible for the content of training and communication materials for Aviva's Guidewire deliveries, both for Agency staff and for internal underwriting users.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP)
  • 5+ years post-designation underwriting experience in property and casualty
  • Self-motivated teammate with strong decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Strong underwriting, technology, data, digital skills
  • Overall knowledge of customer fulfilment and business process
  • Understanding of Direct distribution model
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and present to employees, management, leadership and audience's external to the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize work and deliver results
  • Experience working in an agile and creative environment
