This role is covering a maternity leave, is responsible for preparing the internal, external and statutory financial reporting for the group. The role will be managing 3 direct reports, will be a hands-on position that works closely with Senior Executive teams.
This operates with a high level of and establishes strategic operational priorities, reporting in the Director of Finance. The ideally candidate will be able to deliver on assigned projects and tasks in a timely manner and offer expert advice, quality reports and operate with high integrity.
This is a 12-month contract, starting ASAP, based in the CBD but working remotely until next year.

Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of internal, external and statutory reports and ensure that all accounting standards and legislative requirements in relation to the group
- Analyse information, reports, ledgers and other accounting documentation generated to ensure accuracy, recommending appropriate actions and adjustments where required
- Manage the preparation of the monthly financial reports
- Implement new accounting standards and ensure compliance
- Deliver strategic and technical accounting advice to senior management teams
- Produce asset valuations, stock take and reconciliations in accordance with accounting standards
Key Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, commerce or similar field
- CPA or CA qualified
- Extensive knowledge of relevant financial Acts and Regulations, including accounting principles and accounting standards
- Experience working as a Finance Manager, ideally managing teams
- Previously working in government sector or for a large complex organisation is beneficial
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
