The Robert Walters Accounting & Finance recruitment division in Sydney is seeking a Senior Consultant to join their well established, specialist team.

This is an excellent opportunity for recruiters in finance or a related discipline to develop their recruitment career within one of the core areas of a high performing global business.

As a Recruitment Consultant within the Accounting & Finance team at Robert Walters you will not only manage relationships with our large and well-known client base but also develop new business under the Robert Walters brand. You will be fully supported to develop your brand and career as an expert in Accounting & Finance recruitment.

You will be surrounded by a successful, stable and supportive team that wants to see you succeed, where candidates are shared and not owned, and clients are fairly split.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve revenue targets and meet individual and team metrics in a fast moving, results driven sales environment
• Develop new business with prospective clients and keep in regular contact to build and maintain positive corporate relationships
• Manage key accounts to ensure revenue growth
• Work closely with the Sydney Management group in relation to team performance and strategy
• Assist in the training and development of new consultants
• Drive campaigns to secure top talent for clients
• Understand clients' business operations and solve their recruitment needs
• Select candidates for appropriate positions, arrange interviews and fully brief candidates on the company and role
• Take responsibility for candidate care and keeping in regular contact with our candidates

Key Requirements:

• A proven successful track record over a minimum of 2 years within agency recruitment ideally with a focus on Accounting & Finance recruitment but other related, white-collar disciplines will also be considered
• An understanding of necessary accounting qualifications and the Sydney finance market, either from recruiting into it or a previous finance background coupled with recruitment experience
• Consistent tenure with current and previous employers
• Strong understanding and experience of the Sydney recruitment market
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
• Ability to use own initiative and deliver as part of a successful team
• A strong work ethic and desire to achieve
