Our single-minded purpose is our brands' growth and development.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAn exciting opportunity exists for a SENIOR GROUP ACCOUNTANT at AVI LIMITED, Illovo, Johannesburg. The objective of this role is to provide consistent, high-quality management information to the AVI Group CEO and CFO, the AVI Board and investor community.
REPORTING STRUCTURE: AVI Group Reporting Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: None
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Consolidation of the Group preliminary results on a monthly basis
Consolidation of the Group budget and forecast on an annual and quarterly basis
Coordinate and run AVI's management information processes, including monthly and quarterly reporting cycles covering actual, forecast and budgeted results, and consolidating and analysing this information as part of each reporting cycle
Assist with the preparation of quarterly reporting to the Board
Assist with the preparation of the analyst presentation for the AVI interim and year-end results release
Preparation of corporate accounting entries, including PRMA and share scheme accounting
Manage the bi-annual process of assessing the Group's investments and intangible assets for impairment
Dealing with numerous ad hoc information and analysis queries
Assistance with the financial review of the AVI share scheme entities
Assistance with various AVI Group finance projects
Business owner of the AVI Group Essbase reporting toolCompetenciesThinking Analytically
