A fantastic opportunity to join a reputable Financial Services company based in the City of London.

The role will provide support and training with the idea that the successful candidate will go on to become a Fund Controller managing their own Fund.

Client Details

One of Europe's leading credit providers, investing across senior and subordinated debt, managing and advising over $7 billion of capital. Due to rapid growth, the company has a need to add to its accounting team.

We are looking to recruit an accountant wishing to develop and broaden his / her existing fund accounting experience.

Description

About the role

Working with the team leader his/her duties and responsibilities would include the following:

Reporting

  • Preparing quarterly and annual statutory reports for the funds
  • Debtor and creditor maintenance and reporting
  • Cash management reporting
  • Building ad-hoc reports

Accounting

  • Maintaining the fund entities on the general ledger, i.e. Investran
  • Posting general ledger journals
  • Reconciling Cash and PIK interest due and accrued
  • Preparing accruals
  • Preparing month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings
  • Reconciling Limited Partners drawdowns and distributions
  • Liaising with auditors

Administration

  • Creating audit verifications
  • Build a good rapport with other team members.

Profile

  • The successful candidate is likely to be a training ACA, CIMA or ACCA.
  • Minimum 1 year experience gained in a financial services or assets management environment.
  • The candidate would be a strong team player, be flexible, highly motivated, have good attention to detail, strong Excel skills and have excellent communication skills.
  • A keen interest in Fund Accounting

Job Offer

An attractive, market related remuneration package would be offered to a top candidate.

As a guideline £25,000-£35,000 as a base.
