TheReal Estate Accountanthandles general accounting functions including accounts payable review, accounts receivable review, general ledger, and assists in monthly closings in the Real Estate department. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares financial reports and property analysis for management
- Analyze statements and prepare journal entries for month end close
- Analyzes and reconciles balance sheet accounts and takes ownership of differences and potential process changes
- Provides assistance on the monthly close, interacting with various departments and levels of management
- Coordinates accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger for assigned properties
- Maintain construction project billing, intercompany transactions, and debt schedules
- Builds effective relationships with operations and development management
- Participate in yearly external audit
- Assists on projects or duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- At least 2-5 years of experience in the Real Estate accounting profession (Commercial or Industrial experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- YARDI Accounting Software experience is required
