Client Profile: Major Irish Group, South East Our Client is a major Group Head quartered in Ireland (South East) with a strong presence across 100 markets in Asia, America, Europe and Australasia.  Within their market sector  they have had phenomenal success and have become a key player in the markets in which they are competing.  They have grown their business both organically and by acquisition, and their business model into the future will continue with this aggressive expansion. Role:  Tax Accountant The candidate will join a large tax division and will report to their Group Head of Tax. Duties will include Preparation of detailed tax charge forecasts for a number of business units in Ireland and UK divisions; Computation of the actual tax charge for year-end reporting of Group results; Preparation of supporting files for each statutory company and provision of information in response to queries from external tax advisors; Preparation of final detailed computations for submission to Tax Authorities; Review and editing of detailed P&L accounts and supporting schedules; Responding to ad hoc queries from Divisions concerning Corporation tax, VAT, PAYE, Relevant Contractors Tax, etc.; General involvement in ad hoc projects and overall Group strategic planning initiatives, progressing to direct responsibility for specific projects and tax planning Candidate Profile Ideal candidate should be a Qualified Accountant with AITI, who initially trained within the tax department of a Big4 or Top 10 Accounting firm. Post qualification experience within a large group would be desirable (not essential). They should have excellent inter-personal skills and they will interact with management and finance teams across the group. Good time management skills and the ability to successfully manage tax related projects are also desirable. Interested in this position?
