The Opportunity

Here at Woolworths our Internal Audit team is unlike many others you will have come across. If you're looking for an Audit Manager role that will see you partner with all areas of the business across Woolworths Group as well as offering you the growth and development to progress your career, then read on, the role only gets better!

Woolworths Internal Audit is developing a financial controls audit stream designed to assess Woolworth Group's financial controls and is looking for an experienced Audit Manager to deliver this program.
Our Audit Managers gain insights into all different facets of our business. We work with all major businesses including Supermarkets in both Australia and New Zealand, BIG W, Dan Murphy's, BWS and ALH hotels.

You will partner collaboratively with other assurance functions within the broader business, giving your personal brand exposure to our Senior Management teams. You will have access to multiple training opportunities including on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring.

As a team we make flexibility work, there is great potential for flexible working arrangements as our focus is on what and how you deliver not 'where'. We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager with a minimum of eight years experience including extensive audit experience in providing financial controls assurance across key financial processes and financial cycles. If successful, you will be responsible for delivering the Woolworths Internal Audit financial controls testing program and financial-based reviews.

To be successful in this role, you have external audit and financial accounting experience and a comprehensive understanding of internal controls over key financial processes. You thrive on problem solving and approach this utilising different techniques. You embrace change including using agile principles, manage conflict and demonstrate resilience in challenging situations. Above all, you are a team player and have a collaborative nature.

About our team

We are collaborative and supportive. We run workshop sessions and use agile principles to deliver our work, banding together to deliver on our team strategy and objectives. We are a passionate, curious and highly motivated team of professionals. You will be part of a diverse team of people who are always looking to grow, improve and are continuously finding innovative ways to improve the business's control environment.

Retail is fast and the pace of work is quick here. We operate in an environment where the work may put you outside of your comfort zone (the zone where you are supported and grow!). Seeking information from others is a critical component of this role drawing on strong time management, problem-solving skills and an ability to influence a positive outcome are key. We are big and we are complex but that offers up so much opportunity to make a difference and leap your career forward.
We're after flexible and adaptable 'self starters' who have the ability to build rapport at all levels, and are committed to consistently delivering work of an exceptional standard.

If this sounds like the role for you... Apply!
