Job Summary:

Fox Studios Australia is a motion picture studio designed and tailored for Disney motion picture productions as well as third party television and motion picture productions companies. Occupying a 32 acre site and providing facilities of the highest industry standards, the studio features eight sound stages, several production offices, workshops and hosts over 60 independent entertainment industry businesses. The history of the site provides an eclectic mix of new and old buildings, and manicured landscapes create proportion and space.

This role is responsible for the finance function of the TFCF Filmed Entertainment Australia Group. The primary trading entities are Fox Studios Australia Pty Limited and Fox Production Services Pty Limited. Financial responsibilities also exist for the Special Purpose entities utilised for the purpose of TCF film production in Australia.

-This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Key responsibilities include:
  • the preparation and lodgement of Statutory Financial Statements as required by ASIC
  • the preparation of all management accounts and forecasts as required by TWDC The Finance Manager participates in the development of significant Capital Expenditure projects and the viability assessments.


Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting
  • Quarterly flash and Monthly reporting
  • Budget and Forecast Reporting
  • Capital Expenditure Reporting
  • Monthly Consolidation Reporting
  • Compliance and other information as requested
  • Human Resource Information as requested
  • Maintain knowledge of IFRS
Financial Management
  • Overseeing Accounts Payable, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Book
  • Ensuring adherence to applicable Group Accounting policies and procedures
  • Formulation, administration and innovation of accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable information is available for management
  • Provision of financial and departmental reporting to key stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and advice to the management team as appropriate for the divisional P&L's
  • Capital Expenditure Management, in accordance with approved budgets and reporting requirements
  • Ensure payments made to suppliers, staff and other parties are in accordance with contracted terms and conditions and delegated authority
  • Maintenance of Internal control procedures
  • Identification of Business risks and management thereon
Capital Expenditure Submission and proposal analysis as required
  • Workers Compensation Management of premium and claims Corporate Compliance
  • External and Internal Audit Liaison
  • Audit Committee Liaison
  • Liaise with Directors as required to meet statutory and legal obligations
  • Maintain knowledge of taxation legislation
  • Submission of compliance reports and audit reports as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years' Experience in a multi-faceted business
  • Experience in Management roles
  • Experience in Compliance, taxation, reporting and business
  • Contract management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of finance and budgeting
  • Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High levels of analytical ability
  • Ability to review and manage procedural policy and legislation

• Chartered Accountant / Certified Practicing Accountant
