Strategy Tax Manager

Responsibilities:

Tax strategy and Projects

• Monitor and study fiscal regulations / proposed changes in all relevant jurisdictions which may affect the entities in charged, recommending changes as required to ensure compliance with all local / national statutes
• Understand business, assess tax risk and identify any planning opportunities in carrying on business
• Lead tax project implementation through cooperation with multiple teams
• Identify any tax saving opportunities or available financial subsidy and take lead to obtain
• Deal with Tax bureau on any tax audit and lead self-tax assessment
• Manage the effective tax rates of China legal entities
• Obtain the A Level tax rate for NVS entities
• Train and develop finance staff of newly released tax regulations
• Implement global initiatives

• Achieve tax planning/saving opportunities
• Manage effective tax rate at reasonable level
• Identify and avoid tax risk
• Improve local tax strategy
• Continually increase efficiency & effectiveness of the Tax function
• Continually formalize and improve SOPs and policies related to tax
• Further develop internal control framework
• Ensure stable ERP environment for tax and pursue improvement opportunities

Background:

• Education: Bachelor or above degree in Tax/Accounting / Financial Management, CTA/CPA or equivalent is a plus
• Languages: Fluency in English, oral and written
• Experience: Minimum experience of 8-10 years working in the tax division of an accounting firm or similar experience
• Strong interpersonal, communications, negotiation, problem solving and analytical skill
• Willingness to make decisions and take over responsibilities
• Accurate, analytical, reliable, team work spirit, highly responsible, strong sense in keeping confidentiality, pro-active, self-motivated, committed, open-minded, able to work under pressure with tight deadline and multi tasks
