Commercial Real Estate Finance Analyst
Your roleThis position is responsible for working directly with and supporting the Head of Commercial Real Estate Finance and Commercial Real Estate Product manager in all respects. The CRE balance sheet lending program consists of small balance loans, large balance and large balance syndicated loans and near stabilized loans on a variety of property types. Candidate will work closely with the CRE Product Team and related parties through the life cycle of a transaction and must be able to effectively interact with multiple stakeholders across the value chain (Financial Advisors, Wealth Management Bankers, Underwriters, Transaction Managers, Credit, Operations, Legal/Compliance, Servicing & Asset Mgmt. teams). The candidate will also support the CRE Product Head in managing the overall business (e.g., updating business strategy as warranted, P/budgeting, working with related affiliates and vendors to ensure effective delivery of Program, executive mgmt. updates/presentations, Program oversight, etc.).Your teamYou will be part of the Commercial Real Estate Lending team within the HNW Lending group.Your expertise• Product Execution – drive the direction and resources in building new loan programs; conduct due diligence and drive development of a new business line by working with project team members, developing processes and procedures, and identifying targets for originations/sales goals; evaluate and drive partnership opportunities with lending referral partners to provide principal lending solutions (e.g., co–lending, warehouse facilities) • Reporting and Analysis – Prepare reports for management; gather and analyze data critical to product development and loan origination • Regulatory & Risk Management – Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a sound risk management framework; develop an understanding of credit risk management and work with partners to build a proper control framework for these new asset classes • Senior Management Support – Work on special projects as necessary; prepare internal presentations as necessary for senior management on strategy • Help drive the business on a daily basis and identify any areas that may be streamlined to provide a better client experience• Ability to discuss Program and lending offerings with FAs and WMBs• Ability to assist in the origination of transactions, supporting more senior originators and CRE Product Team members• Ability and willingness to travel for site inspections and/or branch presentations• Ability to support the delivery of a transaction throughout its entire life cycle• Role will have room for significant growth as CRE program grows• Experience working with a Bank's High Net Worth client base / Financial Advisor network a plus• Supporting the CRE Product Head in managing the overall business, including oversight of affiliates and vendorsAbout usExpert advice.
