Compensation: $18.00 to $25.00 hourly

Based in the Ridgeland, Mississippi area, this exciting temporary–to–full–time opportunity is set in an engaging workplace where hard work is rewarded. As the Accountant, your duties will include preparing monthly and year–end closings, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. The majority of time spent will be dedicated to the processing of cash management information including but not limited to cash sales verification, point of sale reconciliations, bank deposits and meal pay plus transactions And during the monthly close, your responsibilities will also cover various aspects of internal reporting. You will also maintains timely and accurate accounts receivable management information, including client information, invoice payments, and commission processing. Responsibilities: – Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management – Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner – Ad–hoc reporting and special projects, as requested – Maintain intricate journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll – Organize capital lease and monthly payment schedules – Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision – Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP – Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments – Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation – Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation The ideal candidate for this Accountant position will have 3–5+ years of experience. Must have experience in billing, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and inventory processing. Candidates with a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance are preferred.
