Management Accountant

The Business A renowned financial service business based in Cheshire is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join the business on a permanent basis. The organisation that we're representing have surpassed all recent targets and are looking to build on an exceptionally strong 24 months. The finance division that the candidate will be joining is well established and has a number of high profile commercial projects that the individual will play a critical role in delivering. With a multi-site presence this role will span across the head office and another central site.

The Role

The Management Accountant position that Robert Walters are currently recruiting will play a critical role in improving commercial performance, drive cost improvements and deliver key MI to aid better decision making by the senior management team.

Specific aspects of the role include:

• Lead in the preparation of monthly management accounts and take ownership of the P&L

• Work with the SMT to deliver the annual planning cycle and key commercial models

• Business partner with a range of stakeholders on key areas such as MI, costs and efficiencies

• Work with key stakeholders to understand the wider commercial position of the organisation, the tracking of key market trends and factors that could affect performance

• Lead in the delivery of all budgets and forecasts and challenge senior stakeholders on their decision making processes

• Deliver and prepare extensive MI, commercial analysis and commercial recommendation for the executive team

• Deliver key analysis focussing on potential business risk and upcoming commercial opportunities

• Implement improved controls and processes across the finance team

The Candidate

Candidates wishing to apply for this role will ideally have experience of working across a large, blue chip business. The candidate will be CCAB qualified and will ideally have experience of delivering commercial analysis, month end reporting and MI to a variety of senior managers. The candidate will have highly developed stakeholder management skills and will be well versed in liaising and influencing the most senior individuals across the business. The candidate will be commercially strong and will have experience of implementing and delivering improved forecasting & budget processes, commercial business plans and models. The candidate will have the ability to prepare detailed MI, analyse information and make commercial recommendations to the executive team.
