Job Responsibilities Provides tutorial instruction to students in Intermediate Accounting I and II, Principles of Finance, Integrated Accounting, and Computerized Accounting, etc. Maintains a high level of excellence in tutoring by communicating and interacting effectively with students; implementing best practices in tutoring college students; communicating appropriately with instructors in session reports; attending professional development sessions; maintaining currency with learning management systems, documentation systems. Completes required paperwork and online records for tutorial sessions. Midlands Technical College is dedicated to providing excellent service to its students, employees, and the community. Minimum and Additional Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Accounting/Finance. Excellent communication, collaboration, customer service, and interpersonal skills are essential. Candidates must be knowledgeable in Spanish I or II. Ability to work with college students of diverse backgrounds. Assist all Midlands Technical College students individually or in small groups and help improve their foreign language classes. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Accounting/Finance with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting/Finance. Recent experience tutoring or teaching college students in a diverse higher education environment. Additional Comments Temporary position. Salary is based on qualifications. Eligible MTC temporary employees will be offered health benefits through the State Health Plan, and an option to join the State Retirement System.
