Position: Senior Accountant

Position & Company Summary: Our client, a leading quant trading firm headquartered in New York with offices worldwide, is adding a Senior Accountant to their group of 6 accounting & finance professionals, due to growth. This role involves working, in conjunction with the accounting teams both in the US and globally, to maintain the US firm's books and records and the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. This individual will be heavily involved in the month-end close process and the maintenance of the company's internal books and records. This includes the preparation or review of various accounting reconciliations and financial schedules that support the financial statements. You will assist team members in their collaboration with outside auditors and advisors and will be involved in US GAAP interpretations, as well as accounting policy and internal control documentation and decisions.

Required Credentials:
- Must have between 7 and 9 years of total experience, all accounting focused
- Must prove a solid understanding of US GAAP
- Must bring experience with financial statements and account reconciliations
- Experience must include working at a mid-size broker dealer OR at a Big 4 firm then a broker-dealer
