The Internal Audit Unit is committed to delivering high quality, client-focused and professional services that support the organisation in the delivery of its core function, which is the provision of high quality, safe and efficient health services that are responsive to the needs of patients, carers and the community.
Reporting to the Director Internal Audit, the Senior Internal Audit and Corruption Prevention Auditor is responsible for assisting the Director Internal Audit in;
This is a temporary Full Time maternity relief position until 31 October 2021 with the possibility of an extension at same/reduced hours

Selection Criteria
Relevant tertiary qualifications, membership and /or qualifications from professional bodies (e.g. ICA, CPA Australia, IIA, ISACA). Sound knowledge and experience in the application of contemporary auditing and related practices and methodologies including: Australian Auditing standards, Internal Audit Standards, risk management processes and information technology audits. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary corruption prevention themes, emergent trends and strategies within the public sector together with an understanding of the application of relevant legislation, policies, Government standards and the role of relevant government agencies. Demonstrated recent risk based audit experience and investigations management skills (including quality assurance processes) with a proven ability to successfully plan, manage and lead concurrent assignments within deadlines and budget. This includes effective team-building and people management skills with a proven ability to motivate and train staff. Demonstrated analytical skills and the proven ability to research information and interpret and apply relevant legislation and government and department policies. Highly developed ability to deliver professional value adding and risk focussed advice to management both verbally and in writing, relating to financial, compliance, operational and governance issues. Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Excellent negotiation, decision making and influencing skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
