The Accounts Intern will be responsible to provide support to the accounts department.
Job Description
1. Account receivables management.
- Timely posting of receipts.
- Updating, generating and sending out customer statements.
- Customer account reconciliations.
- Maintaining correct customer's records in accounts software.
- Maintaining customer's remittance records
- Ensure credit policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Ensuring proper physical filing of all customer & clinic files.
2. Account payable management.
- Posting daily expenses in systems.
- Analyzing and posting Petty cash and visa card expenses in systems.
. - Raising payment vouchers
. - Timely posting of payments.
- Marching all purchases invoices in systems
- Timely payment of statutory deductions.
- Vat preparation and payment.
- Payroll & bonus computation, payment and posting.
- Maintaining correct suppliers' ledgers.
- Ensure payment policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Ensuring proper physical filing of all supplier files.
3.Stocks management.
Consignment stock take
. Sampling stock take.
- Stocks recon to general ledger.
- Stocks reconciliation
• Ensure all inventory and stock management and systems are maintained accurately, within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner.
• Participate in all necessary stock takes.
• Comply with all aspects of the Standard Operating Procedures.
• Verification of purchases.
• Payment of withholding taxes and statutory.
• Following up on supplier payments & Debt collection.
• Other work as directed by the Financial Manager
Qualifications for the Accounts Internship
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or any related field/ CPA (K), ACCA.
• A background in accounting experience
• Project a positive attitude and be a team player
