We are looking to hire a permanent Programme Financial Controller to join our Technology PMO. This is a critical role for the business, with oversight of a multi-million GBP budget that is being used to transform Kantar's technology. This role will support and enhance the financial processes and controls in place across our major transformational programmes, as well as drive cultural change within PMO to establish greater consistency in financial reporting across projects and a more proactive approach to budgeting with PMO stakeholders.

Key Outcomes
  • Leading PMs through the project financial management and month-end processes, helping with budgeting, forecasting, and actuals.
  • Analysing project financial data and producing reports/dashboards adhering to accounting standards and deadlines.
  • Improving financial processes and controls; holding project managers accountable for project delivery against budget.
  • Understanding and participating in change control activity; reviewing and communicating the financial impact to relevant stakeholders.
  • Designing and delivering training for PMO stakeholders on financial processes and best practice where needed.

Capabilities
  • Extensive background in financial accounting, with high attention to detail.
  • Strong experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and reconciliation to actuals in a project-led environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively with, and providing financial training to, project managers or other stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching project managers or other stakeholders to proactively manage against budgets and follow financial controls as part of their day-to-day activities.
  • Credible and persuasive communication style, with the ability to drive behavioural change amongst stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
  • High competence with MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, and Outlook.
